Curriculum - Pedagogy
At BPS the CBSE curriculum is tailored with a multidimensional child centric approach, which is both interactive and pragmatic. Our curriculum, both in terms of content & methodology, is 21" Century relevant and meets the highest learning standards. A combination of projects, real life exposure, audio-visual presentations, classroom teaching, experiential learning, community visits and brainstorming activities are used to make learning fun, exciting and interesting.
Our curriculum emphasizes on activity-based learning. For which we create a suitable environment and focus on earning needs of each child rather than a predetermined set pattern. We add value by inculcating a strong sense of discipline and hard work in our kids, thus nurturing them to be future ready to face global challenges. The school lays strong emphasis on constructivist approach where the child is encouraged to be the architect of her/his own knowledge and the Mentor acts as guide rather than an instructor.
In addition a dynamic and colourful potpourri of sports, performing arts, fine arts etc. is integrated into our curriculum, aimed at developing creativity and exposing kids to varied educational experiences preparing them to face the future challenges of globalized economy. At BPS we nurture children to be confident, self-sufficient, have independent thought process and a never -ending urge for learning. The pedagogy is modelled on internationally recognized schools of thought like Blooms Taxonomy and Multiple Intelligences.
At the Pre-Primary level innovative methodologies and activity based learning expose the curious minds to conditions that evoke freedom of thought and expression.
Language development & concept formation. Development of socio emotional skills along with tine and gross motor development happen simultaneously through exploration, interrogation and eventually self-discovery. This builds confidence in youngsters, who feel free to be creative and motivated to learn.
During the Primary years, the highly developing toddler brain is stimulated through exploratory and hands-on activities, which can develop cognition, language and psychomotor skills. Children are made aware of their own potentials and learn how to explore and exploit the learning tools in the best possible manner.
